RSI Recording Artists Garner Multiple Top Five Fan Award Nominations

Nashville, TN - Popular female vocalist and RSI Music recording artist, Charlotte Ritchie was among the Top Five nominees for the Fan Award for Favorite Soprano and Favorite Soloist when the final nominees were announced by The Singing News Magazine recently. its. The current release from the reocrding, “My Father’s Angels,” is playing at stations nationwide and has become Ritchie’s latest Top 25 hit.

Ritchie’s label mate, Gordon Mote was also honored with a Top Five nomination for Favorite Musician. Mote’s current radio release, “Wounded Hands,” is enjoying radio success, as the song recently became Mote’s latest Top 80 hit. The song marks the debut release from the talented musician’s latest recording, I Will Sing, which has received rave reviews from industry leaders and fans alike.

The two artists enjoyed a busy spring, traveling throughout the US and Canada as members of the highly successful Gaither Homecoming Tour. The two have been touring throughout the summer making solo appearances nationwide in support of their latest recordings. This fall the two will rejoin the Gaither Homecoming Tour, performing in 25 cities nationwide.

The winners of The Singing News Fan Awards will be annoounced on Wednesday, September 29, when the annual awards ceremony will be held in conjunction with the Southern Gospel Music Association’s Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. This year marks the first time the two celebrations have been presented togehter. The event will take place in the DP Celebrity Theatre at Dollywood Theme Park in Pigeon Forge, TN. The Fan Awards and Hall of Fame inductions will serve as the kickoff event for Dollywood’s annual national Southern Gospel Music and Harvest Celebration, which takes place throughout the month of October. ted singer and musician, Gordon Mote was named Instrumentalist of the Year when the 2010 SGN Scoops’ Diamond Award winners were announced last night, July 1. The Award marks the first Diamond Award for the 2009 Academy of Country Music Keyboardist of the Year.

Winners of the Diamond Awards were announced during a ceremony held at the Branson Music Convention in Branson, MO. Winners are selected by fans and industry members who cast votes online at www.diamondawardsonline.com.

This summer, Mote has been busy touring in promotion of his latest recording, I Will Sing. The debut release from the recording, “Wounded Hands,” is already receiving airplay at stations nationwide, and recently became the latest Top 40 hit for the talented RSI Music recording artist.

Gordon Mote Receives CCMA Award Nomination

Nashville, TN - Multi-talented recording artist, Gordon Mote was recently named among the list of Top 5 nominees for the Inspirational Country Music Award for Musician of the Year. The list of Top 5 nominees was recently announced by Power Source Magazine. The 15th Annual Inspirational Country Music Awards will be held October 15 at Trinity Music City USA in Hendersonville, TN.

Earlier this year, Mote received MusicRow’s Music City Award for Piano/Keyboard Player of the Year for 2009, an honor awarded to the artist who has performed on the most Top 10 selling albums for the year. That honor came on the heels of Mote being name Piano/Keyboard Player of the Year by the Academy of Country Music.

Mote is recognized as one of Nashville’s most talented studio musicians. His piano artistry can be heard on the recordings of some of the nation’s premier preformers, including Brad Paisley, Trisha Yearwood, Alan Jackson, Rascal Flatts and Alison Krauss, just to name a few; however, since releasing his debut Southern Gospel recording in 2004, the talented singer and musician has enjoyed much success among Christian music circles, including numerous Top 40 hits and numerous Fan Award nominations. Mote’s video release, “The Best of Gordon Mote,” made its debut at Number 7 on the Billboard Music Video Chart in 2008. Mote’s travels throughout 2009 have included stops in the US and Canada, performing in excess of 150 concerts. This summer the popular Alabama native traveled to Europe for several concert events, and will return in October with the Gaither Vocal Band and several fellow Homecoming artists for concert stops in 11 countries.

Mote is riding high on the initial success of his brand new release, I Will Sing, and the debut radio single, “When I Lift Up My Head.” The upbeat Gospel bluegrass tune, written by the late Dottie Rambo, features multi-award winning recording artist, The Isaacs, on background vocals and is currently playing at radio stations nationwide.

Gordon Mote Honored By Academy Of Country Music

Nashville, TN - Multi talented recording artist, Gordon Mote was honored this week by the Academy of Country Music, who announced the winners of the ACM Awards, which will not be televised during the live telecast of the 44th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards. When the non-televised Award winners were announced on Tuesday, March 24, Gordon Mote was named Top Piano/Keyboard Player of the Year under the MBI (Musicians, Band, Instrumental) Awards category.

Mote, a newcomer to the Southern Gospel Music scene, has only recently become recognized for his exceptional musical abilities to Southern Gospel audiences, but has long been noted as one of Nashville’s most talented studio musicians. Mote’s talents can be heard on the recordings of some of the nation’s premier preformers, including Brad Paisley, Trisha Yearwood, Alan Jackson, Rascal Flatts and Alison Krauss, just to name a few; however, since releasing his debut Southern Gospel recording in 2004, the talented singer and musician has enjoyed much success, including numerous Top 40 hits in multiple music genres and numerous Fan Award nominations. Mote’s video release, “The Best of Gordon Mote,” made its debut at Number 7 on the Billboard Music Video Chart in 2008. Mote’s travels in 2009 will include stops in the US, Canada and Europe sharing the stage on more than 60 dates with music legend Bill Gaither and his Grammy Award winning Gaither Vocal Band.

The 44th Academy of County Music’s Awards ceremony, which honors country music’s top talent, as well as the industry’s hottest emerging talent, will air live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 5 at 8:00pm (Eastern time) on CBS Television Network. The Academy of Country Music Special Awards are voted on by the ACM Board of Directors. Special MBI Awards are presented to recipients at ACM Honors, a special event held annually in the fall. This year’s event will take place in Nashville on September 22, 2009.
